“Great place to stay to have access to the beautiful Gower coastline. Peter and Chrissie were very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was exactly as described.
We ate at The Valley one evening, which was very nice. It’s recently been done up and, being coeliac, I appreciated the great gluten-free options on the menu.
We did lots of lovely walks along the coastal path, and Peter was very helpful with tips and advice. Perfect!”

“We had a wonderful two days at The Swallows – it was very comfortable, and Peter and Chrissie were excellent hosts. The Swallows is close to the coastal path for great walks, and the local pubs are fantastic too. We would have no hesitation in recommending a stay!”

“This is a second home! Not only are the hosts extremely kind and helpful, but you can always chat with them and ask for advice.
The room is so cosy, super clean, and quiet – the perfect base to explore the area. It’s thoughtfully equipped with tea, coffee, cutlery, cleaning supplies, and everything you need.
There are lovely pubs around the corner, two amazing surf spots within a 10-15 min drive, a small shop, and beautiful hikes.”

“Peter and Christina were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. They have a beautiful home that is close to lots of local attractions, and they both shared a great amount of local knowledge and insight that helped us get the most out of our stay.
Their place was clean and homely, and it is clear they both put a lot of time and effort into making it so comfortable. It was lovely getting to know them both, and we’d recommend this place for anyone looking to explore the area.”

“Peter’s place looked and felt even better than the pictures. The room was comfortable, bright, and beautifully decorated. Their garden was a cute space to chill at the end of the day.
It’s ideally located close to Caswell Beach and is a great spot for exploring the Gower Peninsula. We really enjoyed the conversations with our hosts – they are a lovely couple. Parking was easy, and the Welsh cakes were a nice touch.
Highly recommend the place, and we hope to visit again!”

“Stayed for two nights in Peter and Christina’s place. The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet, and the kitchen amenities gave us the opportunity to cook our own breakfast. The bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower. Parking was available in front of the accommodation.
There are two pubs in the village (a 5-10 min walk) which also serve food. We tried The Valley, which was very good. There’s also The Plough and Harrow in Murton (just a 5-min drive or 15-min walk), where we got takeaway fish and chips on our second night – delicious!
The private garden area next to the house was lovely, with seating, a table, and well-designed plants and fruit overhangs. Just right for sitting on a warm evening with a takeaway and a glass of wine.
There are several walks close by, and Peter was very helpful in explaining the routes. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend the accommodation.”

“A lovely room – clean and tidy as described. Peter and Chrissie are both lovely and gave us a warm welcome.
We were left to come and go as we pleased, but they were always available if needed. The area was safe and peaceful, with easy access to Mumbles and the surrounding beaches, as well as North Gower.
We enjoyed a great few days’ break – highly recommend!”

“Peter was welcoming and gave us tips about where to explore in the town and where to eat.”

“Peter and Christina went above and beyond for me. Peter even helped me with some woodwork in his shed and pointed out fresh veggies I was allowed to pick and eat.
Communication was brilliant – their handbook was the spine of my beautiful experience in the Gower. The private guest garden is such a nice touch, especially when the sun comes out!”

“My partner and I absolutely love the area, and this is a great spot to set up base. Peter and Chrissie have created a lovely room with an en suite and a private garden.
They were warm and welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. We both strongly recommend!”

“Peaceful and comfortable – we felt right at home at The Swallows. You’d never guess Peter and Christina were new to Airbnb – top hosts!
A really nice bolthole to explore Mumbles and the Gower from.”

*”We stayed at The Swallows for three nights in August 2024 and had a great time. The room is newly renovated, clean, and beautifully decorated with many hand-painted pictures.
Chrissie and Pete are super nice people and gave us lots of tips on what we could do in the area. We would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy spot to return to after hiking, swimming, or surfing.”*
✅ What we loved: Everything!
❌ What could be better: The weather – but they can’t do anything about that, right?

“Lovely host, great shower, and a super comfortable room – exactly what I needed after a long walk!”
✅ What we loved: Comfortable stay and welcoming hosts.
❌ What could be better: A small continental breakfast would have been nice. In my opinion, a small electric kettle would be better than the water heater machine in the room.

“Perfect stay!”
“The hosts were exceptionally friendly, the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and there were crockery and facilities available for us to use. Plenty of leaflets and helpful information were also easily accessible.”

“A lovely place!”
*”The place is full of thoughtful details dedicated to your comfort. Spacious, clean, tasteful, and well-equipped.
It is on a dead-end street, so there is no traffic noise. The private garden is large and perfect for picnics, sunbathing, or reading.”*
✅ What we loved: Spacious, peaceful location with a beautiful garden.
❌ What could be better: If you don’t have a car, the bus service is limited. While you can walk to many places, getting to Mumbles or Swansea on foot often requires walking along the road.
